Platform developers are responsible for maintaining and providing the operational software infrastructure necessary for efficient, robust, and highly available network security applications. This includes implementing device drivers, porting operating systems, interfacing with custom ASICs and FPGAs, and debugging interactions between hardware and software. The candidate should be comfortable working in a cross-functional team involving hardware and FPGA design, quality assurance, system architecture, and external ASIC and operating system vendors.

Minimum Qualifications
Â· 7 years experience in software development or maintenance
Â· 2 years writing embedded device drivers
Â· Experience developing software for embedded systems
Â· Experience investigating and debugging in active customer networks
Â· Expert in C
Â· Ability to debug at assembly and JTAG level
Â· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Â· Comfortable communicating with customers directly
Â· Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
Â· Experience driving root cause analysis investigations
Â· Passion for execution in a fast-paced, high-performance work environment

Preferred Skills and Experience
Â· Embedded Linux/vxWorks development
Â· Experience writing Ethernet device drivers
Â· In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocol
Â· Experience on MIPS and/or x86 architecture
Â· Experience with custom ASIC driver development
Â· Experience with PCI, I2C, IPMI

Education
Â· BSCS, BSEE or equivalent experience
